1.2.1 Current Situation

Technological advancement has aided the growth of global e-commerce,with mobile accounting for more than half of global online traffic in early 2021.Мobile commerce is now a normal way for many consumers to purchase goods.This trend will continue to grow in cross-border markets with the accepted introduction of e-wallets and simple global payment solutions like PayPal,Google Pay,and Skrill,alongside credit cards and bank transfers for many online retailers.

Although retail had a tough year in 2020,every national market covered by eМarketer[1]saw double-digit e-commerce growth.The trend continues:

·Latin America saw $85 billion in e-commerce sales in 2021,up 25% from $68 billion in 2020.

·The Indian e-commerce market is expected to grow to $111.4 billion by 2025,up from $46.2 billion in 2020.

·Russiathe UK,and the Philippines saw more than 20% e-commerce sales growth in 2021.

China continues to lead the global e-commerce market,accounting for 52.1% of all retail e-commerce sales worldwide,with total online sales just over the $2 trillion mark in 2021.It also has the world's most digital buyers,824.5 million,representing 38.5% of the global total.
