1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This code is developed to prevent and mitigate the process risks，secure the staff and property safety and protect the environment in petrochemical plants.

1.0.2　This code is applicable to the engineering design of safety instrumented system for grassroots，revamp and expansion projects in petrochemical plants.

1.0.3　In addition to this code，the engineering design of safety instrumented system shall also comply with the current national codes and standards.
