Abstract

The Report on the Development of Chinese Statitistics 2014 aims at conducting researches on the issues which affect the development of Chinese statistical system.These studies intend to provide some theoretical support for the reform and development of official statistical system，as well as the innovation of statistical methods in China.National statistical system is an important infrastructure and a modern，scientific and efficient statistical system is vital for the development of China.This report consists of six research topics:1) Chinese statistical system; 2) the monetary and financial statistics of China; 3) the government finance statistics of China; 4) the foreign trade statistics of China; 5) the consumer price index of China; 6) China participation in the global international comparison program.The research mainly focuses on the practice of Chinese statistics and the contents usually include the development history，current situation，problems，advantages and disadvantages，opportunities and challenges，etc.Each topic pays much attention to the assessment of data quality and international comparison with the international standards or other countries’practice.Furthermore，the direction and strategy for the future development is deeply discussed and some policy suggestions are put forward to promote Chinese statistics.
