● 以上词组均表“与……有关”之意。

● apply to由“适用于”转义来，to后接人或物。如：Dictatorship does not apply to the people.（专制制度与人民无关。）The rules of safe driving apply to everyone.（安全行车，人人有关。）Do these regulations apply to me？（这些规章与我有关吗？）What I’ve said doesn’t apply to you.（我说的这事与你无关。）

● do with是常用词组，用法灵活，主语可以是人、物、句子，with后可跟名词、代词、句子等。无被动形式。如：What has she to do with me?（她和我有什么关系？）I don’t know what it’s go to do with you.（我不知道那与你有什么关系。）She is interested in everything to do with the computer science.（凡是与计算机学有关的，她都感兴趣。）His job has to do with telephones.（他的工作与电话有关系。）

● have a connection with与in connection with都表 “与……有关”，但前者是动词词组，后者为介词词组，后者常作表语、后置定语等，意义近于about。如：I think his illness must have had some connection with his diet.（我想，他的病一定与他的饮食有些关系。）What he has said has a direct connection with the book.（他所讲的与这本书有直接联系。）The meeting is in connection with a proposal to construct a new swimming-pool.（会议与修建一个新游泳池的建议有关。）He read a biography of George Washington in connection with his study of American history.（在学习有关美国史时他读了一本乔治·华盛顿传。）The police are making inquiries in connection with a bank-robbery.（警察正在调查有关抢劫银行的案子。）

● refer to中to是介词，词组一般不用被动语态。如：The regulations refer only to children.（这些规定只与小孩有关。）The new law does not refer to land used for farming.（这条新法律与农用土地无关。）What I have to say refer to all of you.（我要说的话对你们都适用。）I didn’t know whom she was referring to when she said that.（她这样说时，我不知道她指的是谁。）

● relate to动介型词组，主语常指某事物，词组一般不用于被动形式。如：The report seeks to relate the rise in crime to the increase in unemployment.（这份报告试图将犯罪率上升与失业率上升联系起来。）She is an expert in English. She has published dozens of papers that relate to English. （她是英语方面的专家，已经发表了几十篇关于英语方面的论文。）Mary is selfish, only concerned with things relating to herself.（玛丽很自私，只关心与自己有关的事情。）They all enjoyed Prof. Zhang’s lecture. It relates to the international situation. （他们都喜欢张教授的讲座。那是有关国际形势的讲座。）

● be related to是形容词词组，related to也是形容词词组，均表“与……有关”。如：These trade deficits are closely related to the international transfer of industry of economic globalization.（这些贸易逆差与经济全球化背景下的国际产业转移密切相关。）All of these questions are related to your abilities. （所有的问题都与你的能力有关。）They are related to me by marriage. （他们和我是姻亲。）Value is related to demand. （价格与需求有关。）Our profits were up, related to costs. （相对于成本而言，我们的利润上升了。）The lawyer was busy collecting evidence related to the case. （律师正忙于收集与此案相关的证据。）

● tie in with与tie up with也均属动副型词组，也意为“与……有关”，常用被动形式。如：The police are trying to tie up his escape from prison with the murder.（警察试图把他的越狱与谋杀联系起来。）The work is tied up with production and caters to the needs of national defence construction.（这项工作和生产密切相关，并适应国防建设的需要。）Our company has tied up with the other company to support the meeting.（我们公司和另一家公司合力资助那个会议。）This company is tied in[up] with ours.（这家公司同我们公司有密切的联系。）
