Foreword

This Specification is the revised edition of the"former Communication Professional Standard of PRC YD 5148-2007 Design Specifications for Pole Line of Optical（Copper）Cable Engineering according to the requirements of the document Gong Xin Ting Han〔2013〕536 issued by MIIT"Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of Communication Engineering Construction Standards in 2013 year"，and based on soliciting opinion from all parties.

This Specification comprises several design contents mainly：pole line survey，pole line construction specifications，installation specifications of aerial suspension wire，designing of long pole span and flying spanning（crossing a river）and the requirements of the original pole line for new cable erecting，etc.

The articles 3.1.6，3.1.7，3.2.3，3.4.3，3.4.4 and item 5 in the article 4.3.2 which are printed in bold type in this specification are compulsory ones and must be strictly enforced.
