第58章 学以致用 立业种德

Studying for the purpose of application conduces to both moral cultivation and career development.

读书不见圣贤，如铅椠佣[1]；居官不爱子民，如衣冠盗；讲学不尚躬行，为口头禅[2]；立业不思种德，为眼前花。

中文注释

[1]铅椠佣：古代雇来抄写文字的人。铅椠，古人书写文字的工具。

[2]口头禅：古代为宗教用语，本意指未经心灵证悟就把一些现成的经言和公案挂在嘴边，装作很得道的样子。通俗说就是指一个人在有意或无意间常讲的说话语句。

读圣贤书但却不领会书中的思想精髓，这与写字匠何异？官职在身但心里却不装着黎民百姓，这与衣冠盗贼何异？讲授圣贤思想但却不身体力行，这与只会说口头禅何异？注重建功立业但却忽略修为的积累，这与昙花一现何异？
