About the Authors

Tu Ya

Mongol nationality, M.D., professor of medicine, doctoral supervisor, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, graduated from the Heilongjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine （now renamed the Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine）, studying for the master and doctoral degrees under instruction of Prof. Che Li, a leading master of Chinese medical history and philosophy, tricks of the trade acquired under the tutelage of the master, benefiting all her life.

The compilation of the book has been guided by Prof. Chang Cun-ku, and all the compilers are students of Prof. Che Li. The working team has published the following books: Explorations of Thinking Track, Essentials of the History of Concept of ChineseMedicine, Chinese Medical History, etc.

Fang Ting-yu

Senior professor in English, graduated from the Beiing University of Foreign Studies in 1957, visiting scholar at the Harvard University from 1984-1985, former director of the Foreign Languages Faculty, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, at present, enjoying government special allowance, serving as the chief advisor to the Translation Committee, China Association of Chinese Medicine, engaged in medical English teaching （both Western and Chinese medicine） for Ph.D. students and research on translation theory of Chinese medicine.

The “Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Digital Museum”（English edition）chaired by him won 2011 World Summit Award, UNECO, UN under the e-Health and Environment.
