METHOD 2 S-D-R-T-M SHOT-DIAGRAM-RULE-TYPE-MONTAGE

The method described in this chapter is "Shot-Diagram-Rule-Type-Montage". Through the analysis of shots in movies or real scenes, we can conclude certain behavior in movies or the relationship between things in movies. Then we use Processing software to simulate and analyze the conclusion and classify the visual graphics to get the rules of the conclusion. The rules are transformed into building-type units through the analysis of real sites. The generation of units relies on the objects of urban space, such as bicycles and seats in Hutong space, shops, supermarkets, and bars in street space. Ultimately, building or urban space is formed by the way of montage.

MAIN PROCESS

Shot

Shot originally refers to the optical components of cameras and projectors in physics. Later, they are described as Shot pictures with image content and story plots in film creation. It can be used as the basic unit of film composition. Several shots constitute a fragment or scene, and the alternation of scenes constitutes a movie. Shots can be used as a basis for describing and telling stories. In the process of film production, Shot refers to the sum of the pictures captured by the camera from the beginning to the end of the recording. It has a certain consistency in the performance of time. Perfect image recording by moving, pulling, pushing and rolling the Shot, this technique is called long Shot. The corresponding short shot is a number of separate pictures, through the form of stitching to achieve the narrative of the story.

In this chapter, the shot of the film is taken as the starting point to trigger the concept and direction of architectural design. "Woven Streets" through the analysis of the real scenes in Hutong, it is concluded that different types of shot will affect each other, and the impact will change with the transform of the environment. "The lens And Spaces Segmentation" , through the analysis of film shots, find that there is a specific relationship between the choice of film events, scenes and shots, and then triggers the thinking of the relationship between shot and space.

Film shots not only can be used as a carrier of storytelling, but also as a point of reference in architectural design. It expands the way of thinking in architectural design.
