3.4　Other Materials

3.4.1　High strength steel wires used for suspenders and ties should be comprised of φ5mm or φ7mm highstrength hot-dip galvanized steel wires.Their characteristic strength should not be less than 1670 N/mm2.The material properties shall comply with the provisions in the current national standard GB/T 17101 Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Wires for Bridge Cables.

3.4.2　Steel strands used for suspenders and ties should be high-strength low-relaxation prestressing galvanized or other corrosion-protected steel strands.Their characteristic strength should not be less than 1860N/mm2.The material properties shall comply with the provisions in the current national standard GB/T 5224 Steel Strand for Prestressed Concrete.

3.4.3　Anchorage devices for suspenders，ties and other connections shall incorporate high-quality carbon structural steel or alloy structural steel.Their mechanical performance shall comply with the provisions in the relevant national standards.The protective materials used for suspenders and ties shall not contain corrosive ingredients.
