Installing WordPress locally
In order to test WordPress out, you don't actually need access to a live web server. You can do your tests on a local server as well and then only deploy your site to the public if need be. The most common way of working with local WordPress is by installing it on a XAMPP server. XAMPP is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, plus it is free. You can get it from https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html.
XAMPP's official website offers some guides on how to set up the server, but if you need a more step-by-step tutorial, please refer to https://themeisle.com/blog/install-xampp-and-wordpress-locally/.
