6.2 Arrangement of Turbine House and Deaerator Bay
6.2.1 For units rated 200MW or above, the turbo-generator should adopt longitudinal inline arrangement. If the site conditions permits, they also can be arranged transversely if demonstrated rational through techno-economic comparison.
6.2.2 The operating floor of turbine house should be of monolithic platform type for units rated 300MW or above, and should be island structured for units below 300MW.When operating floor of monolithic platform type is adopted,it shall meet the requirements for ventilation, heat removal, humidity removal, and weight lifting.
6.2.3 The arrangement of feedwater pumps shall meet the requirements below:
1 If the feedwater pump turbine exhausts steam into the main condenser, the turbine-driven feedwater pumps should be arranged on the operating floor or bottom floor beside the turbo-generator.
2 If feedwater pump turbine exhausts steam into an independent condenser, the turbine-driven feedwater pumps should be arranged on the operating floor or intermediate floor of turbine house and deaerator bay.
3 If turbo-generator unit is equipped with motor-driven feedwater pumps, such feedwater pumps may be arranged on the bottom floor of turbine house or deaerator bay.
6.2.4 The arrangement of deaerator feedwater tank shall meet the requirements below:
1 The installation elevation of the deaerator feedwater tank shall ensure that no cavitation would occur at the inlet of the feedwater pump or booster pump under the steam turbine load rejection transient working conditions.
2 If climate and arrangement conditions are favorable, the deaerator feedwater tank should be installed outdoors.
3 The deaerator and feedwater tanks should not be arranged above the central control room.If this is unavoidable, the top slab of the central control room should be of a monolithic concrete structure, and the appropriate waterproofing measures shall be taken for the deaerator floor.
6.2.5 The arrangement of turbine oil system shall meet the requirements below:
1 The main oil tank, oil pump, oil cooler and oil purifier of the turbine should be arranged on the turbine house head side and close to Row A columns, and shall be kept clear of high-temperature pipes. The turbine oil storage tanks should be arranged outside the main power house.
2 Fire safety measures shall be taken for the main oil tank, oil storage tank, oil purifiers and oil system.Tight lubricating oil emergency drainage oil tank(pit)shall be provided at appropriate places outside the main power house, its arrangement elevation and the design of oil pipeline shall meet the requirement of unobstructed emergency oil drainage of the main oil tank, oil storage tank and oil purifiers. The capacity of lubricating oil emergency drainage tank shall be no less than the capacity of oil system of the largest unit.
3 The emergency oil drain valves shall all be arranged at safe positions readily accessible for operation, and their operating hand wheels shall be located 5 meters beyond the outer edge of equipment draining oil and can be accessible from two passageways.
6.2.6 If water-cooled turbine-generators are arranged longitudinally, the circulating water pumps should be located outside the turbine house, and they may be located close to the turbine house if the actual engineering conditions permit.
6.2.7 If indirect air-cooled system with mixing condenser is used, the circulating pumps and hydraulic turbine should be arranged adjacent to the turbine house.
6.2.8 The condensate polishing equipment should be arranged inside the turbine house, and the regeneration devices should be arranged inside the main power house.
6.2.9 The initial station of district heating system of cogeneration unit should be arranged outside the Row A of turbine house,or may be otherwise located at the fixed end of main power house or inside the turbine house if demonstrated rational through techno-economic comparison.
