5.3 Capacity Matching between Main Equipment
5.3.1 The number and capacity of boilers and those of turbines shall be matched each other according to the following requirements:
1 For straight condensing turbines, one boiler with one turbine in each unit shall be adopted. The maximum continuous evaporation rating of boiler should be commensurate with the steam inflow when the turbine control valve is fully opened.
2 For cogeneration turbines, one boiler with one turbine in each unit should be adopted. If the steam boiler with the highest capacity is out of service, and the remaining boilers cannot satisfy 100%process steam volume required for the continuous production of steam user or 60-75%(in extremely cold areas the upper limit shall be adopted)steam amount required for winter heating, ventilation and domestic use, then alternative heat sources may be used.
5.3.2 The conditions of capacity selection of generator and steam turbine shall match with each other. At the rated power factor and rated hydrogen pressure(in case of hydrogen cooled generators),the rated capacity of generator shall be commensurate with the rated output of turbine, the maximum continuous capacity of generator shall be commensurate with the maximum continuous output of turbine, and the water inlet temperature of generator cooler should be equal to the cooling water temperature of turbine under the corresponding operating conditions.
