Foreword

According to the requirements specified in the Plan for Developing Professional Standards in 2008（Document Number:〔2008〕No.1242）issued by the General Administration Office of National Development and Reform Commission，this Specification is revised by its development team based on wide and intensive investigations and studies made，practices summarized，comments requested as well as references to international codes and advanced foreign standards.

This specificationconsists of 7 chapters.

Main technical contents in this Specification include the design requirements for the control room，central control room（CCR），local control room and field auxiliary room（FAR）of instruments and control engineering in petrochemical industry.

This Specification is revised based on Code for design of control rooms and analyzer room for petrochemical industry SH 3006-1999，and main revisions include:

—Divide SH 3006-1999 into the Specification for design of control rooms in petrochemical Industry and the specification for design of on-line analyzer systems in petrochemical industry，and this Specification only covers the requirements for control rooms in petrochemical industry；

—Rename DCS central control room into control room；

—Delete the provisions related to conventional instrument control room；

—Add the provisions related to central control room（CCR），local control room and field auxiliary room（FAR）；

—Add the provisions related to health，safety and environmental protection.

China Petrochemical Corporation（Sinopec Group）is in charge of the administration of this Specification，Sinopec Technical Design and Engineering Center for Instruments and Control is responsible for its routine management，and Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co.Ltd.is tasked with explanation of specific technical contents.
