4.4 Resources/Reserves Assessment and Ore Quality Research

4.4.1 For mineral resources/reserves estimate,resources/reserves shall be allocated and estimated in terms of mine design requirements and based on the resources/reserves mentioned in the submitted Geological Survey Report.

4.4.2 Resources/reserves estimate shall include followings contents:

1 For open pit mining, different resources/reserves grade, ore quantity and grade of different ore types of various mining stages within boundary limit, and the grade of different level rock(surface soil)and near-ore wallrock grade shall be estimated.

2 For underground mine deposit, different resources/reserves grade and ore quantity and grade of different ore types during underground mining stages shall be estimated.

4.4.3 Resources/reserves estimation shall satisfy the following requirements:

1 The geometrical figure method and geostatistics method may be used for resources/reserves estimate and geostatistics method should be used for mine design.

2 Results of resources/reserves of mine design estimate shall be compared with the mineral resources/reserves in the submitted Geological Survey Report.Under the premise that industrial index, rock mass density and estimation range are all the same, permissible error of ore charge shall not be over 5%,permissible error of major useful composition grade shall not be over 5%,and the permissible error of resources/reserves estimate with distribution method shall not be over 1%.

4.4.4 Ore quality study shall include following contents:

1 Study of ore mineral composition, major useful and harmful compositions, space distribution features and intergrowth and interconvert relations of various types of ores, possibility of separated mining and beneficiation conditions, and major composition average content of wallrock and interlayer.

2 Calculation of the average content of major useful and harmful composition of ore within exploitation range and its estimate variance and confidence limit;prediction of grade variance range of ore exploited in different exploitation cycle.
