1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This code is prepared with a view to implement national laws and regulations，guidelines and policies，enhance scientific management for coking project execution，optimize equipment level and promote technology progress in design of coking technology so as to have a better economical，environmental and social benefits and a sustainable development of the coking industry.

1.0.2　This code is applicable for the design of top-charging coke oven and stamp-charging coke oven with 4.3m or higher coking chamber for metallurgical coke production.

1.0.3　New technologies and processes with the features of advancement and applicability，safety and reliability，cost-effectiveness and energy saving and environment protection shall be adopted in the coking technology design so as to improve comprehensive benefits.

1.0.4　In addition to the requirements stipulated in this code，those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation shall be complied with.
