6.4 Flying Shears
6.4.1 Installation of flying shears shall be in accordance with the following requirements:
1 Take the centerline of mill unit as a reference to measure the longitudinal centerline of the base plate;take the centerline of cutting edge as a reference to measure the horizontal centerline of base plate.
2 Measure the elevation and levelness of the base plate on the joint surface of base plate and housing.
3 Measure the deviation of the housing at drive and operation sides relative to the mill unit centerline on the inside surface of bore of the crank bearing chock.
4 Measure the verticality of housing on the bore inside face of the upper and lower crank bearing chock.
5 Measure the concentricity of the upper and lower cranking bearing chock of housing at operation and drive sides relative to the centerline of bore.
6 The contact surface of assembled housing with the base plate and connecting beam with the housing shall be closed tightly and checked with feeler gauge.
6.4.2 Allowable deviation for flying shear installation shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 6.4.2.
