John: So how was Paris?
Selina: Fascinating!
John: In what way?
Selina: The people for one thing. They come from all over and speak and behave in so many different ways.
John: What's so special about that? We learned about that in geography class.
Selina:It's one thing learning about foreign peoples and cultures from a book and quite another seeing them with your own eyes. It's much more complex.
John: I suppose you're right. So what was your most interesting memory of Paris?
Selina:That's hard. One memory stands out though. Spending a whole afternoon in the Spanish Quarter in Paris, eating delicious food and feeling so at home. The people there treated me like one of their own.
John: Well, you can't get that experience from reading books.
Selina: You got that right!
