Counter Lack of Clarity by Being Specific about What You Want

When people have a great deal of clarity about what they want and they know what they are aiming for, they do the things that move them down that road. Instead of just saying “I want to be successful,” they write down the answers to questions like these: What does success look like? Who do I want to work with? Who are my target clients? What are my target projects? What will those projects look like when they’re completed? How will I work with others along the way? What will the dynamics be? How will I address challenges? In what ways will I provide feedback or will feedback be provided?

Answers to questions like these help us establish the clarity we need. Ultimately, when we have that type of clarity, it’s a lot easier to take action.
