序言

开放互联基金会（OCF）是物联网行业最大的组织之一，其任务是开发标准规范，促进互操作性，并为物联网（IoT）设备提供测试认证。OCF联盟拥有超过400家会员公司，包括家电行业领导者（海尔、LGE、伊莱克斯、三星电子），芯片制造商（英特尔、高通），软件平台（微软），网络设备（Cisco）和有线服务（CableLabs）等。OCF联盟还发起一个开源项目——IoTivity，帮助开发者和企业创建解决方案，实现一个开放的物联网规范。

OCF 2.0版本规范已经发布，业内人士预计，OCF 2.0版本产品认证将在2018年第四季度展开，并在2019年继续扩大范围。随着越来越多的OCF产品在市场上部署，开发商与学术界对技术理解与实现具有强烈的需求，本书将有助于更好地理解OCF技术实现。

The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) is one of the largest groups in the industry whose mission is to develop specification standards, promote interoperability, and provide a certification program for devices involved in the Internet of Things (IoT). It has over 400 member companies, including industry leaders in home appliances (Haier, LGE, Electrolux, Samsung Electronics), chip manufacturers (Intel, Qualcomm), software platforms (Microsoft), network equipment (Cisco), and cable services (CableLabs). OCF also sponsors an open source project, “IoTivity”, to help developers and companies create solutions that map a single, open IoT specification.

As OCF 2.0 Specification is now published, the industry expects that OCF 2.0 certified products will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018 and continue to expand in 2019. As more OCF products are deployed in the market, there will be strong demand among developers and academia to understand OCF technology for implementation and research. This book will shed light upon OCF technology for those who hope to understand it better.
