The table below shows the results of a survey to find out what members of a city sports club think about the club's activities, facilities and opening hours.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make any comparisons where relevant.

The table compares the opinions of male and female club members about the services provided by a city sports club.

We can see from the responses that the male members are generally happy or satisfied with the range of activities at the club, with only 5% dissatisfied. In contrast, however, only about two-thirds of female members were positive about the activity range and almost a third were dissatisfied. The genders were more in agreement about the club facilities. Only 14% of women and 10% of men were unhappy with these, and the majority (64% and 63% respectively) was very positive. Finally, the female respondents were much happier with the club opening hours than their male counterparts. Almost three-quarters of them were very satisfied with these and only 3% were unhappy, whereas nearly 40% of the men expressed their dissatisfaction.

Overall, the table indicates that female members are most unhappy with the range of activities, while male members feel that opening hours are the least satisfactory aspect of the club.

经典范例2

The diagram illustrates how water is collected in a container. The whole process is a cycle which can be divided into three main stages.

According to the figure, the first stage is to find a hole on the bottom with green plants. The second stage is removing the green plants on the middle of the bottom, and put a containcer there. And the last stage, use the plastic film to cover the hole, place four stones on each sides of the plastic film in oder to steady the position.

Water evaporates from these plants when the sun shines on the green plants into the hole, and the vapor cools down to form water drops on the plastic film. As a result, more and more water falls down into the container.

In sum, the whole process shows the effective use of water outdoors successfully through evaporation from the green plants.

Write a report for a university lecture describing the information shown below.

The bar chart shows that the different ways of transportation people in Beijing over 6 years, from 1998 to 2004.

As we can see from the bar chart, there are still a great number of people who choose train in the traveling, while those who traveled by private cars fluctuated.

In 1998, there were only 10% of people rode by bycicles. The highest percentage of people choosing train was accounted for 40%.

In 2001, there was a steady increase in each tranportantion. We can see a seeming surpurising ride in the number of people who by airplanes which stood at 40%. Those who chose bycicle and private cars are still have a lower percentage, increased by 10% respectively.

The year of 2004 witnessed a dramatic change. The number of people traveled by airplane continued to rise to 60%. The biggest drop went to those who by trains decreased from 50% to 30%. People who biked plunged from 20% to 30%, meanwhile, those who drove by private cars decreased 10%.

In conclusion, the transportation for people in Beijing to travel revealed some expected changes in the 6 years.

The line chart illustrates the trend of the popularity of telephone and mobile phone in America from 1995 to 2007.

As we can see in the line chart, there was a steady increasing in the popularity of mobile phone over the period from 1995 to 2007. On the contrary, there was a dramastic fall in the number of telephone from 1995, about 800 million people bought telephone. To 1998, and the figure was dropped to 400 million. From 1998 to 2001, the rates of decline slowed down. Moreover, there was a more gradual reduction in the popularity of the telephone, still reaching a figure about 100 million until 2007.

On the other hand, there was a rapid trend in the number of mobile phone in this period. In 1995 about 300 million and this figure rose steadily reaching 900 million. In 2004, to a peak of 1200 in 2007.
